foonie is based in Toronto, ON and offers locally designed and produced greeting cards, stickers, and other printed goods inspired by the wonders of nature and the beauty of the smallest, simplest things in everyday life. foonie’s cards and goods are created to help people connect with friends, family, and their communities.

Japanese Canadian artist Saya Oiwa expresses relatable and heartwarming feelings through whimsical, intercultural characters such as Mr. Croissant, Cozy Frog, Onigiri-san, and Grumpy Cat.

Saya founded foonie in Vancouver, BC in 2021 with just three greeting card designs, originally created for the local communities of the Fraser Valley. The brand later moved to Montreal in 2022, where foonie grew with the support of local boutiques and passionate stationery lovers, and eventually to Toronto in 2024, where foonie continues to grow within Canada’s vibrant art and craft community.

Today, foonie’s products are carried by independent shops and enjoyed by paper lovers across Canada.
